Our unit has done an outstanding job of volunteering their time and talents in helping to promote the mission of the Backcountry Horsemen.
In 2009 we spent over 6000 hours in educating the public on gentle use and leave no trace principals, trail repair and maintenance, Forest Service and National Park Service logistical assistance, and safe equestrian use.
These volunteer efforts have a dollar value of $170,000.00.
All efforts were centered right here in our own backyard, directly benefiting our members and the public at large. Everyone that participated in these projects is to be commended and thanked.
The only way we get credit for these acts of service is if a report is filled out by the project leader and turned in to me or one of the board members.
After any act of service, I would encourage you to fill out the appropriate report or form (downloads provided below) and send it in so that we can get credit for your efforts.
Fantastic job to all of our volunteers, thanks for your service.
